Questions? Answers.
Will BeatLayer stop or pause my music?
No. BeatLayer mixes its beat with audio from any other app — music, podcasts, audiobooks — so both play at the same time. You control the beat volume separately.
Does it keep playing when my screen is locked?
Yes. The beat keeps going in the background, and a Live Activity on your lock screen lets you adjust the BPM without unlocking.
How does Smart mode know my cadence?
It uses your iPhone's motion sensors to estimate your real-time cadence. If the reading isn't stable, it automatically falls back to timed progression and lets you know.
How much does it cost? Is there a subscription?
BeatLayer is a paid download ($1.99 in the US App Store). Smart Progressive Mode is an optional one-time in-app upgrade. No subscription, no ads.
